We’re excited to announce an upcoming in-person meeting in London taking place on Sunday March 19th at 2.30pm in the small meeting room at The Soho Recovery Centre on 125 Charing Cross Road. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow tech addicts, share your experiences, and support each other in your journeys towards recovery. We look forward to seeing you all there! Following several ISMs, collaborative editing, and group discussion, we will be discussing and possibly finalizing four motions about principles for ITAA meetings—including special topic meetings and meetings for specific populations—at our next ISM on Saturday, March 18 at 9:30pm EDT. These principles affect the entire current and future fellowship and everyone’s input is important. Please join and strengthen our collective group conscience! We have entered daylight savings, which means that the time of your meetings may have shifted. Our calendar follows the US time zone change, so US members will generally not need to make any changes. Members in Europe, Asia, Australia, and other countries are encouraged to double check the meeting calendar to ensure they don’t miss their meetings.

The Public Relations committee has recently been expanded to include active outreach functions. We are looking for ITAA members with ideas about how ITAA could be easier to find by other internet addicts. If you have ideas or would like to help in any way, please email inquiries.itaa@gmail.com or join the monthly Public Relations committee meeting every second Sunday of the month at 6pm EST.

The Public Relations committee is collecting recovery stories to post on a forum focused on IT addiction which is a consistent source of traffic to our website. If you would like to help carry the message, please email inquiries.itaa@gmail.com with an informal written story between 250 and 600 words sharing what has been helpful in your recovery, as written for someone who is struggling with internet addiction but hasn’t heard of ITAA yet.

This will help ensure our web content better represents the fellowship accurately and inclusively. On Saturday August 6, two experienced members will host a 90-minute Safety and Empowerment workshop in which they’ll share their experience responding to uncomfortable and inappropriate behavior in recovery. The workshop will be held at 11am ET, and then again at 8pm ET. Please come and help strengthen our fellowship as a safe and welcoming place for people to find recovery.
